New Safer Buckinghamshire Partnership from April 2020

Friday, January 31st, 2020

Chiltern Community Forum is part of a three-way partnership, with Thames Valley Police’s Neighbourhood Policing team for Chiltern, and Chiltern & South Bucks District Council’s Community Safety team.

With the move to a unitary Buckinghamshire Council, a new Safer Buckinghamshire Community Safety Partnership will come into effect on April 1st. The partners include Thames Valley Police, Bucks Fire & Rescue, the health service and probation service in Buckinghamshire and the new Buckinghamshire Council. Its stated goal is to work as a partnership of organisations to provide a coordinated approach to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and drug and alcohol misuse across the county.

Chiltern Community Forum will continue its work in providing a platform and forum for residents of Chiltern and their Neighbourhood Policing teams, to discuss and decide on local policing priorities, and on initiatives with which residents can get involved. We hope and expect that the close ties we have enjoyed with Chiltern & South Bucks’ Community Safety team will be continued under the new body.

Safer Buckinghamshire has launched a short survey, inviting all residents to give feedback about how safe they feel in Buckinghamshire; this will help to shape priorities, along with other crime and safety data.

TAKE SURVEY NOW

The survey will be open until 11:59pm on 23 February.

(Please note that this is separate from the Community Forum survey for our February meeting, which is dedicated to residents within Chiltern. This will be launched in early February.)
