Police Property Act Fund reopens – £100k available

Sunday, November 25th, 2018

The Police Property Act Fund is a ‘pot’ created from money recovered by the police, seizures from criminals and the proceeds from the sale of items that cannot be returned to identified owners. It is used as a means of supporting community and voluntary groups across Thames Valley.

A new grant round, offering a total of £100,00, was opened earlier this month, and closes for applications on December 17th. Applications will be considered jointly by the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and the Chief Constable.

Applications are invited from local voluntary and community groups who can contribute towards two of the PCC’s strategic priorities in his Police and Crime Plan:

  • Vulnerability
  • Prevention and Early Intervention

All applications will be required to submit clear evidence of how their project or activity will contribute towards achieving the key aim indicated, and a strong relationship with local policing teams is one of the key criteria in the application process.
