Police and Crime Commissioner Election May 2nd

Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) are elected by the public to ensure the policing needs of communities are met as effectively as possible and to oversee how crime is tackled in police force areas.

PCC elections for England and Wales take place on Thursday 2nd May 2024. We encourage all residents to exercise their vote.

You can also download a brochure with candidate and voting information.

Residents need to be registered to be able to vote. If you are not registered visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or contact Buckinghamshire Council. Votes can be cast either in person at a polling station, by post, or by proxy (allowing someone you trust to vote on your behalf).

The result will be decided using the first past the post voting system. Voters will vote by choosing a single candidate on the ballot paper.
